The annual meeting of the Minipig Research Forum!


70 people have already registered for the meeting and thus we have reached the limit of registrations as the conference room is for maximum 70 people. You can still fill out the registration form and then we will contact you if a registration is cancelled. However we can not guarantee that it will be possible to attend the meeting.


The annual meeting of the Minipig Research Forum will take place on 28-29 November 2011. This year’s venue is Lindner Hotel & Residence Main Plaza in Frankfurt (Germany), situated just 6 km from Frankfurt Airport.
The main topics for the meeting will be Juvenile and Embryofoetal Development Studies and neurobehavioural assessment in minipigs.

By joining the meeting you will have a unique opportunity to meet minipig users from all over Europe. At the previous meetings we have experienced that besides listening to and learning from the many presenters, the participants exploit this opportunity to exchange minipig knowledge, ideas and experiences.

The participation in the MRF meeting can be combined with a participation in the German Non-rodent Meeting in Darmstadt November 29-30th. 

  

MRF-NORTH AMERICA
 

The 2011 North American Minipig Research Forum (MRF) meeting has been postponed, and will not take place on March 24-25th as originally scheduled.


Due to tighter budgets and travel restrictions as a result of the economic downturn, we have not been able to generate enough support for this year’s meeting. Therefore, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the currently scheduled meeting. However, we have full intentions of rescheduling at a later date. 

Please be assured that despite the economic conditions, interest in the use of minipigs in biomedical research has been increasing. Given that interest has not decreased, we will also be investigating budget friendly alternatives to the annual meetings so we can continue to maintain the objectives of the MRF.
